Although major browser lack this functionality, but Chrome competitor Firefox is one step ahead in this situation. It seems like, Google took this scenario seriously and finally started working on similar feature The feature when enabled will show “Close all tabs” warning pop and only close the active tabs when you confirm the action.

How to enable ‘Close all tabs’ warning popup in Chrome on Android

As of now, the Close all tabs warning feature is available in Chrome Canary for Android and if you want to give it a try, then you can enable manually. Here’s how you can do that: First of all, Download or Update Chrome Canary for Android to latest version. In the address bar, you need to type or paste: chrome://flags and hit enter. This will take you too Chrome experiment flags page. Or visit directly using flag address: chrome://flags/#close-all-tabs-modal-dialog In the search box type “Close all tab model dialog“. You will be able see the Flag highlighted as seen in image.  Using Drop-down next to it change the setting to Enabled from default. Relaunch the browser to apply the changes. Now when you accidently or intentionally close multiple tabs on your Android will show a warning popup before closing all tabs like this. So that’s all about, the upcoming nifty feature of Chrome.
